Do you feel like you are the best-kept secret?
Do you think you need to be on camera to be visible online?
You see so many people stating that you need to be on camera to be successful and to be found.
While it’s true that videos get more attention, and is the wave of the future, there are still PLENTY OF WAYS to get visible online without being on camera.
Before we dig into the ways to get visible without being on camera, know that:
"Visibility only gets you leads. It’s the way you love and nurture these leads that will get your clients and build your business." ~ Cindy J, The Visibility Wiz Share on XThe first thing you need is an irresistible opt-in gift. You need to offer something of value that your ideal client wants enough that they will give you their email address.
Simply stating “stay connected,” or “get updates on new products and services,” is not typically enticing. The only people that will sign up for your list are people who already know, like and trust you – like your mom and BFF.
Before you attempt any of the ways to get visible without being on camera:
- Create an irresistible opt-in gift
- Have your sales funnel in place (this is typically set up through your autoresponders.)
The above steps are imperative to your success. It’s your introduction to people, and it’s a way to allow them to get to know, like and trust you. It’s about building a community.
Here are 7 Ways To Get Visible Online WITHOUT Being On Camera
- Write guest articles:
Be strategic about who you are writing for. Do a Google search on your niche and a variety of keywords that you would like to be found for. Then search the top 10 results to see if they accept guest articles. If they do, be sure to follow their directives.
My first guest article was on Pick the Brain and resulted in 750 new opt-ins within 3 days. (I was still bringing in leads from this article in 2014 when I closed that site down.) I continue to have success with guest articles to this day. - Find audio-only podcasts:
Look for ones that cater to your community, then write to the host letting them know that you would like to be a guest. Podcasters are constantly looking for new and interesting guests.
To save time searching, you may want to sign up for a product such as *SpeakerTunity – Get a month free! (affiliate link) SpeakerTunity is always up to date on podcasters, radio shows and summit organizers who are looking for speakers. - Create a sharing circle:
Find at least five experts that cater to the same community as you. Agree to tweet each other’s stuff (this can be automated, by adding their RSS feed to your Twitter account) and more importantly to like and comment on each other’s Facebook business page and/or group at least three times a week. This helps with social proof and it’s a win-win for everyone involved. - Do a 5-Day Facebook challenge:
You’ll need to join other Facebook groups at least two weeks before you announce the challenge. Get active in the groups, so other people will start noticing you and checking you out. Note, that you are NOT advertising yourself here. When you begin the challenge, advertise in the groups that allow it. - Host a Giveaway.
Enlist up to 20 other entrepreneurs that cater to your community to offer their free gift during your giveaway. Naturally, you are putting yours in as well. Each contributor agrees to send one or two solo emails to their list to promote the giveaway. They also promote via social media. You do the same. This is truly a collaborative effort and is also a Win-Win for all involved. The beauty is, that as the host, everyone who signs up gets on your list, for you to love and nurture. - PR Web:
Write a press release and submit it to PR Web. This costs up to $350, depending upon which package you choose. Announce something new that is happening in your business and send them to a page to download your irresistible opt-in gift. - Facebook Ads:
Some of the most popular Facebook Ads offer a free webinar or an opt-in gift, that leads directly to sales. Webinars are HOT right now. Naturally, they need to sign up for these things. Your webinar can be live, and you can also share PowerPoint slides to show as you speak.
When testing a new Facebook Ad, begin with spending only $10/day for 3 days. I highly suggest finding a Facebook Ad expert to help you. It’s a tricky combination and I know people that have spent tens of thousands of dollars to get leads with absolutely no sales.
