Consistency in business is so very important!
Patrick Dominguez really drilled this into my head at an event, where his talk was “Consistency is Sexy!”
If you’re like most small business owners, you may think that there is no way the everyday mundane things you consistently do in your business are sexy. Such as …
- Writing a blog post a day
- Doing a Facebook Live twice a week
- Speaking to potential clients on a weekly basis
- Hosting a podcast or being a guest on one
- Staying active in your social media circles
What makes consistency in business sexy?
It’s the consistent flow of qualified leads, clients, and income!
This is the end goal. This is what every entrepreneur out there is looking for. Consistency in business means consistent income!!!
You have heard of the compound effect. According to Investopedia, “Compounding is the ability of an asset to generate earnings, which are then reinvested in order to generate their own earnings. In other words, compounding refers to generating earnings from previous earnings”
Consistency in business is the same thing, the more you reinvest your time and energy into the same “right” action, the greater dividend it will pay – or in other words the more money you will make.

What does consistency in business look like?
Systems!
Building systems is a key factor in the success of your business.
Systems allow you to complete tasks in less time with more efficiency.
Systems allow you to delegate more things to your team, leaving more time for you to concentrate on sales and growth, which all impact that bottom line.
There are also other reasons why consistency in your business is sexy such as:
Consistency creates accountability
Systems help you and your team to stay accountable. Each team member knows the steps to various tasks, as well as which step they are responsible for. They allow you to track where you are successful and what needs improvement. Systems help to keep you on the top of your game.
Consistency establishes your credibility
When you operate your business utilizing systems, it allows customers to trust you. They see that you have consistent messaging. They know what to expect from you when you create content, products, and services.
Imagine if you are favorite show had a different beginning for each episode – it would not make you trust them, right?
Consistency creates a continuous growth
Contrary to what you might think systems allow you to remain true to yourself and expand your creativity in the areas of your business that matter most.
Now that you can see that being consistent is sexy, what consistent action will you begin taking – starting now?
